The Eichler-Levine connection begins to get a more public airing . . .

The Hub Review has long noted that Globe critic Jeremy Eichler has seemed to be "in the tank" for James Levine. These days a lot of other folks seem to be voicing the same opinion. Check out Eichler's review of Lorin Maazel's recent appearance with the BSO (which no, I didn't catch). And read the comments (which include a few blunt accusations). It seems even some orchestra members applauded Maazel. Not so much Eichler.
