Tonight Boston Ballet kicks off its season with its annual gala, this year titled "
A Night of Stars." Highlights include excerpts from such recent hits as Balanchine's
The Four Temperaments, Christopher Wheeldon's
Polyphonia, and Jorma Elo's
Brake the Eyes, as well as a performance of
Flames of Paris by guest artist Herman Cornejo, and a new work by resident dancer Heather Myers,
Found (above left is Karine Seneca in
La Sylphide). The entire company will be on display - local balletomanes know this annual blow-out is one of the city's most dazzling nights of dance. And it doesn't cost a fortune, either; $25 tickets are available in person at the Wang Theatre box office.
