The "Sands Effect" . . ?

A writer on HuffPo has discovered that something similar to what Emily Glassberg Sands revealed about female artistic directors is occuring in television development, too. The vast majority of creative executives in that industry are women - but they overwhelmingly prefer male to female writers! Perhaps women discriminating against women is a larger phenomenon than we realized? Who knows? But in honor of its discoverer, I hereby christen this phenomenon "the Sands Effect"!
